The groundbreaking My Jumpstart to Independence conference in the Pinecrest area served 39 youths, providing them with an event featuring small group activities, 1-on-1 mentoring, and networking opportunities. The youth were able to partake in several topics discussing communication skills and budgeting strategies. Attendees were then able to apply this knowledge in our revolutionary “Real world Experience” workshop where our young adults would create a realistic monthly budget based off of actual salaries and expenses in their area. Organizations like Sunshine Health and Gamebred Youth had booths in which they would make connections with the youth and share their amazing resources. After the event, the venue was transformed into fairgrounds. Games, snacks, music, and even a gaming bus were some parts of our amazing fair.
