The My Jumpstart to Independence conference made a stop in Tallahassee, FL. This 8-hour conference led youths through three pinnacle workshops aimed at developing the participants’ competencies in financial literacy, health literacy, and social literacy. The participants then had the opportunity to put their new knowledge to the test during an interactive budgeting experience known as the Real World Experience. This segment prepares attendees to face the challenging realities of adult life, sparking the determination and discipline they will need to find success after their eighteenth birthday. Participants had the opportunity to interact with local businesses Midtown Movement and Medicine as well as Conversations with Nicole.
